What I do

I've been at Ingenico since 2024. I started as an intern building the QA automation for our Android terminals, moved into Android development, and since February 2026 I lead the team.

The software my team builds runs on around 650,000 payment terminals in production. I lead a team of 12 Android developers across the release line and R&D. I own the architecture of the terminal app, the hardware layer and the payment API, and I work directly with our clients' product teams to turn what they need into something we can build. Part of the job is R&D on new Android POS devices and leading migrations to new platform versions. The other part is being the person the team calls when a live fleet starts failing contactless payments.

I lead the Android team and own the technical direction of our POS terminal software.

Details

Responsible for the software running on around 650,000 terminals in production, from release rollout to incident response.
Own the architecture and technical decisions for the Android POS product line: the terminal app, the hardware abstraction layer and the integration API.
Lead 12 developers across the release line and R&D, from planning to delivery.
Work directly with clients' product teams and with our functional analyst to turn requirements into technical scope, estimates and sprint plans.
R&D on new Android POS devices, and migrations to new platform versions.
Set coding and architecture standards, and review the code that ships.
Assess technical risk, own the quality of what we deliver and report it to management.
Lead the resolution of production incidents on live terminal fleets, from EMV and contactless failures to cross-process crashes over AIDL.
Lead the technical design and production-readiness assessment of an AI terminal assistant (speech-to-text, text-to-speech, LLM intent classification).
